Berlin Musicians In Solidarity With Palestine benefit compilation

The LOUD & CLEAR Berlin Musicians In Solidarity With Palestine benefit compilation for Palestine Music Expo (PMX)is out today on Bandcamp!

Loud & Clear is a collective of international musicians and music industry workers rooted in Berlin, united by our solidarity with the Palestinian struggle for equal rights. No ceasefire will erase the war crimes committed by the Israeli state over the past 15 months – acts of genocide as recognized by the UN, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and more. Nor will it stop the oppression the people of Palestine have faced for the past 76 years, or absolve Germany of its continued complicity. We call on our fellow artists to make sure Berlin does not go silent.

With this solidarity compilation, we exercise our right to question and resist state-sanctioned violence, whether in Palestine or at our own doorstep. Profits will go to Palestine Music Expo, an organization working to support Gazan musicians and preserve Palestinian music and culture.

Palestine Music Expo (PMX):

Proceeds from sales of our upcoming compilation and release party donations will go directly to Palestine Music Expo, a non-profit organisation supporting musicians from Palestine. Palestine Music Expo was launched in Ramallah in 2016 with the aim of bringing Palestinian music to a wider international audience. Until 2022, they hosted festivals in Gaza and the West Bank, providing much-needed performance opportunities to local musicians. Since 2023, their focus has shifted to aiding Gazan musicians who have been forced to flee to Egypt: helping them rebuild their lives, heal from the trauma they’ve experienced and continue their musical careers. In addition to assisting with living costs and other essential resources (including instruments), the organization has facilitated jam nights, songwriting workshops, networking events with the Egyptian music scene, and art, music and drama therapy sessions for musicians and their families.

Un-American Activities

These songs were recorded during the first quarter of 2024 as part of the Villa Aurora residency program held at the former home of Lion and Marta Feuchtwanger (née Löffler) in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles.

The 10 songs, recorded on location during two months, were inspired by the life stories of it’s residents and guests, the history of the house and it’s surroundings.

I’m performing at Gig For Gaza at Lark in Berlin June 30,
a solidarity event to help raise funds for Medical Aid for Palestinians. 100% of the ticket proceeds will be donated to this charity. 

Tickets are available on a sliding scale from €15 to €25, please pay as best suits your means. There is also an option to buy a ‘DONATION ONLY’ ticket if you’d like to support this evening without being able to attend. We have a zero-tolerance policy for racism, sexism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, homophobia or any other form of aggression.
